Waterpark Outing Photos Our free outing at Deep River Water park was a lot of fun! About 600 people (individuals with disabilities and their friends and families) came out for the event. Click on a thumbnail image to see a larger photo.
Lakers Golf Tournament at Cedar Lake Saturday, July 12 at Cedar Creek Family Golf Center in Cedar Lake. Competitions: Skills- Play begins at 9:30 am Individual- 3, 6 and 9 hole- Play begins at 9:00 am Unified Team Play- Play begins at 1 pm Registration Fee: $10.00 for all athletes and unified team members. The registration fee includes all competitions, lunch, and unlimited use of Cedar Creek's facilities from 8 am to 5 pm that day including Driving Range, 9 hole Chip and Putt, Putting Green, 18 hole Putt-putt course. Special Olympics outing at Deep River Waterpark Join Special Olympics Lake County for an evening at Deep River Waterpark on Wednesday, July 16 starting at 5:30 pm.

There was lots of fun to be had at IN FEAT's Night Out at Deep River Waterpark on Saturday, June 30th. Approximately 1,200 people attended, making the outing a huge success. Our next outing will be held at Deep River Waterpark on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30. The outing is free to individuals with disabilities and their friends and family members. Come join us at our next event!"
CSRI (Cooperative Special Recreation Initiative) Event Schedule for 2007The Cooperative Special Recreation Initiative is a partnership between Community Hospital, Crown Point Parks & Recreation, Dyer Parks & Recreation, Highland Parks & Recreation, Lake County Parks & Recreation, Merrillville Parks & Recreation, Munster Parks & Recreation, Schererville Parks & Recreation, St. John Parks & Recreation, and several volunteers. CSRI is a cooperative venture seeking ways to increase recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages who have special needs and abilities. Open Jump for Children with Special Needs at Jump Central in St. JohnCome to Jump Central in St. John for "Open Jump for Children with Special Needs" on Monday, May 21st, and again on Tuesday, June 12. June 2008 - "ESPN's 2008 Mac, Yurko, and Harry Golf outing was a huge success. More than $45,000 was raised and everyone had a wonderful time! There were contests and prizes at every hole, and there was a great silent auction. Thank you to everyone at ESPN who worked so hard coordinating this event!
